GWK CULTURAL PARK is 240 hectares private cultural park on the bukit peninsula at the southern
of BALI in Indonesia, 15 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Air Port.
It is devoted to the Hindu God Vhisnu, and his mount, Garuda, the mythical bird who is his companion.
Currently, the statue of Vhisnu is 23 meters (75,5 ft) high, although the original plan was for a 146-meters
(479 ft) gold-plated Vhisnu riding Garuda on top of an 11-storey entertainment complex. Garuda wings span will be 64 meters (210 ft) across.When it's completed, it will be the largest statue in the world.....

From GWK CULTURAL PARK the trip will continue to ULUWATU TEMPLE.

ULUWATU TEMPLE is one of Bali's nine key directional temples.Tough a small temple was claimed

to have existed beforehand, the structure was significantly expanded by a Javanese sage, Empu Kuturan

in the 11th century. Another sage from Java, Dang Hyang Nirartha is credited for constructing the Padmasana Shrines and is claimed to have attained Moksha here. Even more remarkable than the temple itself is its location, perched on a steep cliff 70 meters above the roaring Indian ocean waves. There are more steep headlands on either side and sunset over Uluwatu are a sight to behold.

The temple is inhabited by large number of MONKEYS, who are extremely adept at snatching visitors belonging, including bags, cameras, eyeglasses, keep a very close grip on all your belonging and stow away your eyeglasses if at all possible. If you do have something taken, the monkeys can usually be include exchange it for some fruit. Needless to say,rewarding the monkeys like this only encourages then to steal more.

This cliff is fascinating but the temple itself is not as impressive as others in Bali.

There is also very scenic cave underneath with rock formations leading onto a beach close to the temple this a popular spot for surfers.

Next trip is to JIMBARAN BAY for the SUNSET DINNER. Jimbaran is a fishing village and tourist resort in Bali. Located south of Ngurah Rai Air Port, the beach has seafood restaurant with Balinese performance every night and every restaurant a long the beach. Dinners select the live seafood that they wish to eat, and it immediately prepared, generally grilled over a fire of coconut husks rather than charcoal.

Eating seafood on the beach in Jimbaran Bay is a quintessential part of many visitor's itinerary when coming to Bali.

Jimbaran Bay home to about 50 grilled seafood restaurants, and all set along the beach. Tables are set up right on the sand, the sea breeze is cool, the sunset are very beautiful and the whole area is lit by oil torches after dark.

The combination of atmosphere, good food and nice Balinese performance make this memorable and delightful place to spend in the evening.
