PECATU VILLAGE, BALI
Pecatu is a village
located in the southern peninsula of Bali, in the southwest part of the peninsula. Unlike the Nusa Dua area which is mostly flat area, Pecatu hills with limestone cliffs,
beaches and short. This region is popular for surfers, although its location
behind the cliff with limited access,,,,
For decades, the coast around Pecatu has been
known by the surfers even though it is behind the cliff with limited access.
Some minor roads built before the 1997 Asian financial crisis to go to some
beaches in the vicinity.
After the Asian financial crisis
(followed by the Bali bombing) tourist numbers dropped significantly, but
remain popular with surfers and they were among the first to come back. One of
the beaches was found to be very popular with Australian surfer’s beach called
Dreamland. To reach this beach one must climb down a small lane. During that
time some simple 'warung' s illegal (hut) was built on the beach and provide
food and drinks for sale.
Since 2007, one of the developers of
Bali Pecatu Graha which occupies the largest area of up to 400 acres in Pecatu
started before the Asian financial crisis. Indonesia and Bali is not affected
by the global financial crisis of 2007, so the project is going well and
growing rapidly.
Not only had the name changed. Where Dreamland used to be simple and modest, Pecatu New Kuta Beach is an expression of
the hopes and dreams come true with a luxurious view of the hills and remote
locations. It becomes even more proud of Nusa Dua. With the narrow beach just
below the cliff wall was perfect for watching the sunset or extraordinary
skilled surfers. It is a great attraction for tourist these waves are not for
beginners! Stalls have been moved from the shore and repaired, the stores are
also good although it is not easily accessible from the shore them further.
Entry / parking fee has also increased.
Pecatu is also supported by the

with sunset views can be seen while watching the Kecak and Fire Dance which
