Ubud has become a
"royal town" for over a hundred years. Princes, who hold "Tjokorda"
still live in a traditional castle, which is called the "Puri". Keep in

Although the old Balinese feudal

Although no formal authority automatically granted to someone because they come
from the castle, the nobles Ubud is still revered solely on the basis of their
descendants.
Puri has long been the largest
