Balangan Beach is one of the Bukit Peninsula surf spots located just north of New Kuta Beach. With its clear blue waves, white sandy beach and easy access, Balangan is not as crowded as Kuta or other surfing beach in Bali. In the north coast, there is a rocky hill which we can see fishing boats returning from sea to shore of Kedonganan.Balangan beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Bukit peninsula, located in the South of Bali and only a 25 minute drive from the airport.

Well known and visited by surfers from all over the World, Balangan beach, Dreamland, Bingin, Padang Padang and Uluwatu were formerly considered the exclusive playgrounds of the surfing Community, with some of the best waves anywhere in the world on this small, stunning stretch of coastline. The waves at Balangan break through all the stages of the tide, with many different sections and offering rides up to 500 meters long on the bigger swells.

Balangan is no longer just the domain of the surfers who come to ride the legendary waves. People from all walks of life and all nationalities come here to enjoy the crystal clear waters and the powder white sand beach. For a refreshing swim inside the lagoon, or just a day chilling out on the beach, at one of the many small local restaurants.. Lazing around until late afternoon, with a cocktail in your hand as you watch another incredible Bali sunset… Paradise in Bali! What could be better!

Balangan is one of Bali’s lesser known beaches, but it is all the better for it. It’s basically the next beach of any size between what used to be known as Dreamland (now fittingly referred to as “New Kuta”) and the Ayana Resort (and Jimbaran after it). The beach is down a steep staircase (easy to climb when not carrying two wet children) and an assortment of warungs and cheap home stay/shacks are set up along the eastern end of the beach. Slightly to the west of centre is a temple and after that there is nothing — just sand.

At high tide there is some good swimming to be had — though bear in mind, as a surf beach, you’ll need to keep a close eye on any rug rats. At low tide a rocky base breaks the surface, making much of it crummy for swimming but ideal for pond watching, shell collecting and of course, as the tide drops, dam-building .

The other activity you could do other than surf is relaxing on white sand and it’s good for Pre wed photo shoot. And for just sightseeing tour it’s could be continue to Dreamland beach, Padang-padang beach, Uluwatu and Jimbaran Bay.
