JIMBARAN BAY, BALI

tusuptourservice.blogspot.com

Jimbaran located in south of the airport and Kuta. It was formerly a real remote southern Bali, just a small fishing village with a daily market.
That all began to change in the 1980s and Jimbaran is now home to several world-class Five Star beach resorts, plus some mid-market more moderate. But there is little in the way of budget accommodation and there are also many high-end villas in this area, especially on the back of high ground above Jimbaran Bay. ..

The Bay itself has a pleasant white sand beach and is very safe for swimming. Three groups of grilled seafood restaurants on the beach are a major tourist draw in the evenings, as it is a truly amazing sunset.
Jimbaran has an increasing number of rather chic shops but there is little or no night life here. It has the advantage of being a little closer to Kuta and Seminyak and cultural highlights Central Bali

GET IN

Jimbaran is between Kuta and the Bukit Peninsula, with Nusa Dua and Uluwatu to the southeast to the southwest.
Jimbaran is about 20 minutes drive from Legian and Seminyak, and 20 minutes from Sanur, through the new toll road that connects the airport to the Benoa and Sanur..

TO DO IN JIMBARAN

·         Seafood Lunch and Dinner Eating seafood on the beach in Jimbaran is a quintessential part of the schedule when many visitors come to Bali.
Jimbaran Bay is home to about fifty grilled seafood restaurants in three different groups, all set along the coast. Three sections Muaya (in the very south), Kedonganan (in the middle) and Kelan (north from the fish market). Each restaurant is much of a muchness and groupings, the most southerly closest to the Four Seasons is the most popular these days.
The table was set right on the sand and if you sit at the lowest tables at high tide, you can even get your feet wet. Cool ocean breezes, beautiful sunsets and the entire area is lit by oil torches after dark.
Restaurants that serve essentially the same menu with one basic dining format:
• Flame broiled (grilled) seafood with your own choice of various kinds of fish, crabs, squid, shrimp, lobster and other shellfish
• local green vegetables steamed with garlic
• rice or French fries
• local spicy sauce
Simply go to the seafood tanks and choose the amount and type of seafood you want to eat, pay by weight and the baked product there and then. You also have the option to order from the menu but it is not like choosing your own seafood. It is also advisable to choose for themselves to avoid unhealthy fish and crustaceans chosen for you. All restaurant also offers set menus for couples and all freshly caught as Jimbaran is still a functioning fishing village. If you want to drink wine, bring it with you and pay a nominal corkage fee.
The combination of atmosphere and good food make a memorable and enjoyable place to spend the night. And Nightlife is limited in Jimbaran, and most places close after 11.
 • Surfing, There are some good surf breaks from the airport the most easily accessed from Jimbaran Bay. It is too far to paddle, but easy to rent a boat from the beach in the middle of the bay area or close to the fish market. When the waves are rolling in here is very good but can be a little unreliable.
• Swimming, this is a large bay to swim with the safest possible water throughout Bali. You will find lots of local children came to the beach to swim at night - a sure sign that the water is safe.
